Good afternoon, PS 174 Community! I hope you are ready for another amazing school year. Just checking in with a few new announcements and reminders as we begin a new year at William Sidney Mount.
School hours are from 8 AM to 2:20 PM.
Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria from 7:30 – 8:00 AM.
For early arrivals: The entrance is through the main door located at 65-30 Dieterle Crescent.
**NEW**PS 174 is participating in NYC “Open Streets” program. This is a pedestrian-friendly initiative to make the streets around our school safer for all in our community.

Full Closure: School days from 7:15 am to 8:15 am (Arrival)1:45 pm to 2:45 pm (Dismissal) |
There will be no thru traffic for non-emergency vehicles on Dieterle Crescent during the times noted above.
Please be considerate in your commute to and from the school to ensure students and staff arrive at school safely and on time. Walking and carpooling are greatly encouraged!
Open Streets has changed a few of our arrival and dismissal procedures so please read these procedures carefully.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
Early Arrival- 7:30-7:50 AM:
- All grades may enter through the Main Entrance (65-30 Dieterle Crescent.) Students may go directly to the cafeteria for hot or cold breakfast. As an alternative, Grades K-5 may use Exit 16 for breakfast in the cafeteria.
Arrival- 8:00 AM:
- Kindergarten students may arrive at the Courtyard on Ellwell Crescent.
- Grades 1-5 may arrive at Exit 16 on Ellwell Crescent. Doors close at 8:05 AM.
Late Arrival- 8:05 AM
- All grades may enter through the Main Entrance (65-30 Dieterle Crescent.)
Dismissal Procedures - 2:20 PM
- Kindergarten Dismissal in Courtyard located on Ellwell Crescent.
- Grade 1 Dismissal at Main Entrance
- Grade 2 Dismissal at Exit 16
- Grade 3 Dismissal at Exit 6 (near far flagpole on Dieterle Crescent and 65 Place)
- Grade 4 and 5 Dismissal at Exit 2 (near main entrance on Dieterle Crescent)
Late pick up through the main entrance. While we understand emergencies happen, if you are delayed, please contact the main office at 718-897-7006 as soon as possible.
